Orlando City Signs Marco Pašalić as Designated Player

Orlando City SC has signed Croatian winger Marco Pašalić as a Designated Player on a three-year contract through 2027, with an option for 2028. Pašalić, 24, arrives from HNK Rijeka, where he contributed significantly with 16 goals and nine assists in 68 matches. Orlando's EVP of Soccer Operations, Luiz Muzzi, praised Pašalić's competitive drive and ability to challenge defenders, which he believes aligns with the team's culture. The winger is expected to fill the role vacated by Facundo Torres, who was transferred to Palmeiras for a club-record fee. Pašalić has also represented Croatia internationally, being part of the UEFA Euro 2024 squad and scoring his first senior goal in 2024.
