Port St. Lucie Man Arrested For Home Burglary, Photographing Woman

Darrian James Baker, 27, was arrested in Port St. Lucie for entering a home and taking a photo of a woman as she stepped out of the shower, according to police reports. The incident occurred after Baker attempted to enter another nearby home and a vehicle, both locked, earlier that morning. Police identified Baker through surveillance footage and a thorough neighborhood canvass, which included a woman who had interacted with him shortly before the incidents. Baker had recently moved to the area from Miami and was found at a residence on Southeast Portillo Road, where police recovered items linking him to the crimes. He faces charges of burglary of an occupied dwelling, attempted burglary of an occupied dwelling, and attempted burglary of an unoccupied conveyance, and is being held without bond. Authorities continue to investigate and encourage anyone with additional information to contact the police.
