Bulgarian Ivanov Wins Wimbledon Juniors Singles Title

Bulgarian tennis prodigy Ivan Ivanov won his first Grand Slam title by defeating American Ronit Karki 6-2, 6-3 in the Wimbledon juniors final, becoming the second Bulgarian to claim this honor after Grigor Dimitrov in 2008. At just 16 years old, Ivanov dominated the match without dropping a set throughout the tournament, finishing with 22 winners and never facing a break point. His victory marks a significant milestone for Bulgarian tennis, as no other Bulgarian boys had reached a major junior singles final since Dimitrov. Ivanov entered Wimbledon ranked No. 6 in the ITF junior rankings and is also the highest-ranked player under 17 in the PIF ATP Live Rankings. Karki, who was attempting to become the first qualifier to win the title since Noah Rubin in 2014, was unable to overcome Ivanov's control during the match. Another Bulgarian junior, Alexander Vasilev, also made an impressive run to the semifinals of the tournament.
