Damiano David Releases Debut Solo Album Funny Little Fears

Damiano David, the frontman of the Italian rock band Måneskin, is launching his debut solo album, Funny Little Fears, which showcases a more vulnerable and introspective side of his artistry beyond his rock star persona. The album, released on May 16, 2024, features singles such as “Silverlines,” “Born with a Broken Heart,” and “Next Summer,” which David selected based on instinct and personal connection rather than strategy. To promote the album, David released a short film, FUNNY little STORIES, featuring four tracks and plans to tour internationally starting in September 2024, including U.S. dates in November and December. David describes the solo project as a way to explore his identity and emotions more deeply, stepping away from the high-energy success of Måneskin while maintaining authenticity in his music. Collaborations on the album include working with producer Labrinth on “Silverlines,” and songwriting with his girlfriend, Dove Cameron. This solo endeavor marks a new musical era for David, allowing him to express different sounds and facets of himself that contrast with his band's style.
