Phillies Catcher Realmuto Returns from Injury
Philadelphia Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto was reinstated from the injured list after recovering from right meniscus surgery, returning to the lineup on Saturday against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Realmuto had been sidelined since mid-June and is expected to resume his role as the everyday catcher. During his absence, the Phillies went 17-15, with Rafael Marchán and Garrett Stubbs filling in. Despite experiencing some setbacks, the Phillies maintained the best record in baseball. With Realmuto's return, the team also recalled pitcher Yunior Marte and optioned Marchán and Michael Mercado to Triple-A. Additionally, pitchers Zack Wheeler and Ranger Suarez are set to rejoin the rotation soon after dealing with minor back injuries.
