Heavy Chicago II Festival Announces 2024 Lineup

The Heavy Chicago festival returns for its second annual edition, taking place from November 1-3 at Avondale Music Hall. Headlining acts include local doom band Bongripper, metalcore legends Earth Crisis, and progressive metal icons Cynic. The festival aims to improve upon last year's format by offering three consecutive days of music instead of a staggered schedule. An array of supporting acts will perform each day, including Wraith, Avernus, and The Skull, with additional surprises anticipated in the lineup announcements on September 8 and October. Tickets for the event go on sale on August 9 at 10 a.m. CT, featuring tiered pricing as quantities decrease. Festival promoter Sean Duffy expressed excitement about returning to one of Chicago's trendiest neighborhoods, Avondale.
