NRAI Honors Paris Olympics Bronze Medalists

The National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) celebrated the achievements of Indian shooters at the Paris Olympics with a felicitation ceremony, awarding substantial cash prizes to bronze medallists Manu Bhaker, Swapnil Kusale, and Sarabjot Singh. Manu received Rs 45 lakh for becoming the first Indian post-Independence shooter to win two medals in a single Olympic Games, including a historic bronze in the women's 10m air pistol event. Kusale was awarded Rs 30 lakh for his bronze in the men's 50m rifle 3 positions event, while Singh received Rs 15 lakh for his performance in the 10m air pistol mixed team event alongside Bhaker. The entire Indian shooting squad and support staff were also honored, with each support staff member receiving Rs 5 lakh for their contributions. NRAI chief Kalikesh Singh Deo expressed pride in the athletes’ accomplishments, highlighting their potential to inspire future talent in shooting sports across India. The event was attended by numerous dignitaries, including Olympic Council of Asia President Randhir Singh and former Olympic medallists.
