Kohli, Rohit lead India to Sydney win
India beat Australia by nine wickets in the third ODI at Sydney, chasing 237 to avoid a series whitewash; Australia won the three-match series 2-1. Rohit Sharma scored an unbeaten 121 — his 50th international century — and Virat Kohli made 74* off 81 as the pair put on an unbroken 168-run partnership to complete the chase. Kohli’s innings moved him past Kumar Sangakkara to become the second-highest run-scorer in ODIs and, when combined with his T20I totals, saw him overtake Sachin Tendulkar as the leading run-scorer in white-ball international cricket. Kohli also now holds the most fifty-plus scores while chasing (70) and has amassed more than 2,500 ODI runs against Australia. India’s bowling effort included pacer Harshit Rana, who took 4/39.
