New Hampshire Mother Kills Husband, Two Children in Murder-Suicide

Emily Long, a 34-year-old mother from Madbury, New Hampshire, allegedly killed her terminally ill husband, Ryan Long, 48, who was battling glioblastoma, and their two children, Parker, 8, and Ryan, 6, before taking her own life in a murder-suicide. The family’s three-year-old child survived the tragedy unharmed and is now in the care of relatives. Authorities discovered the scene following a 911 call and found a handgun near the bodies; the deaths of the husband and children were ruled homicides, while Emily's was ruled a suicide.
