Man Arrested in Fatal Pompano Beach Hit-and-Run

Justin Harpin, a 26-year-old man from Quapaw, Oklahoma, has been arrested for allegedly hitting a casino employee with his vehicle and leaving the scene. The woman, who suffered five broken bones and other injuries, was taken to a hospital but has since been treated and released. Meanwhile, in Pompano Beach, Florida, Willian Eduardo Beltran Velasquez, 31, has been charged in connection with a fatal hit-and-run that killed 43-year-old Don Larkin. Beltran Velasquez fled the scene after the incident on October 13, but investigators traced car parts back to his vehicle, leading to his arrest. The victim's mother expressed her grief and emphasized the importance of accountability in such situations. Beltran Velasquez is currently being held on an immigration hold, preventing him from posting bond.
