Moorhead Police Investigate Suspicious Death of 20-Month-Old Child

Moorhead Police are investigating the suspicious death of a 20-month-old child who was brought unresponsive to Sanford Medical Center, where life-saving measures failed. The child’s family residence in the 1100 block of 18 ½ Street South has been secured and is being processed by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension's Crime Scene Unit. The Cass County Coroner’s Office initially deemed the death suspicious and notified police. An autopsy is being conducted by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death. Authorities have not made any arrests and have not released additional details as the investigation remains ongoing. The case is under active investigation with assistance from multiple agencies.
