Tottenham, Man Utd Drawn in Europa League Last-16

Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United have been drawn against AZ Alkmaar and Real Sociedad, respectively, in the Europa League round of 16. Both English teams finished in the top eight of the league phase, avoiding the additional play-off fixtures. The draw places them on opposite sides, meaning they can only meet in the final scheduled for May 21 in Bilbao. Tottenham has a challenging history with Dutch teams, winning only five out of eleven matches in the Netherlands, whereas Manchester United has a favorable record against Real Sociedad. Other potential strong contenders in the competition include Lazio and Athletic Bilbao, the latter hosting the final at their home ground.
