Second Teen Arrested Over Irvine Beach Fatal Stabbing

A second 17-year-old male has been arrested in connection with the death of 16-year-old Kayden Moy, who was fatally injured during a disturbance at Irvine Beach on May 17. Kayden, from East Kilbride, was found seriously injured and later died at Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock. The first 17-year-old suspect had already appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court in relation to the murder. Police Scotland, led by Detective Chief Inspector Campbell Jackson, continues to support Kayden’s family and urges anyone with information to come forward, emphasizing ongoing extensive inquiries in Irvine and East Kilbride. Authorities have also established an online portal for anonymous public tips to assist the Major Investigations Team. The investigation remains active as officers maintain a presence in the affected communities.
