Mbappé Sues PSG Over €55 Million Wages

Kylian Mbappé is pursuing legal action against his former club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) over €55 million in unpaid wages and bonuses. Mbappé's lawyers have initiated multiple lawsuits, including a request for a precautionary seizure of funds from PSG's accounts, with a legal hearing scheduled for May 26. PSG claims there was a verbal agreement where Mbappé would forgo certain bonuses to help the club's financial situation, following his decision not to extend his contract. Mbappé's legal team is considering involving the French sports minister and UEFA, arguing that PSG's non-payment breaches salary obligations, risking PSG's participation in the Champions League. The dispute, ongoing for over a year, may also be addressed by the labour court, where a complaint was lodged by the French players’ union. Despite the tension, Mbappé has moved to Real Madrid, where he signed a lucrative contract.
