Woman Stabbed to Death Near Takadanobaba Station

A woman in her 20s was fatally stabbed in Tokyo's Shinjuku Ward near Takadanobaba Station on March 11. The attack occurred around 9:50 a.m. while she was reportedly live-streaming, and she sustained multiple stab wounds to her neck and chest. A man in his 40s, who was known to the victim and had been involved in a financial dispute with her, was arrested at the scene with two knives. Although initially charged with attempted murder, the charge will likely be upgraded to murder following the woman's death.
