Joe Locke, known for his breakout role in Netflix's Heartstopper and Marvel's Agatha All Along, is set to make his West End debut in the UK premiere of Clarkston this autumn. The play, written by Samuel D. Hunter, explores the lives of Jake, a young gay man with Huntington's disease, and Chris, a warehouse worker with a troubled family background, who bond while working night shifts at Costco in rural Clarkston, Washington. Directed by award-winning Jack Serio, the production features Locke alongside Ruaridh Mollica and Sophie Melville, and promises an emotionally rich narrative about self-discovery, love, and friendship. Locke expressed his excitement about portraying a complex, flawed character and connecting deeply with Hunter's honest writing. The limited run will bring Hunter's evocative portrayal of American life and universal themes to London audiences, with further venue and date details forthcoming.
