Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla Faces Terrorism Charges for 2021 Riots

Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla, daughter of former South African President Jacob Zuma, is set to appear in court charged with inciting terrorism linked to the July 2021 riots that resulted in the deaths of 354 people. The charges stem from her social media activity during the unrest, which erupted following her father's imprisonment for contempt of court. The opposition party, uMkhonto weSizwe (MKP), has called for supporters to peacefully demonstrate outside the court in her support. The riots caused significant destruction, leading to R50 billion in damages and affecting numerous businesses and jobs in the country.
