Missing LA Sheriff Rifle Recovered by Resident

The rifle, stored in a black hard-shell case with five loaded magazines, was lost during a four-mile patrol route on Saturday night. Upon realizing the weapon was missing, deputies retraced their route, reviewed surveillance footage, and launched an internal investigation. A Lennox resident later found the case, initially believing it held a musical instrument, and turned it in after discovering the firearm inside.
