Cody Simpson Joins Guys & Dolls Cast

Cody Simpson, the 27-year-old pop star and former competitive swimmer, has announced his Australian musical theatre debut in Opera Australia's production of 'Guys & Dolls', set to premiere in March 2025. He will take on the lead role of Sky Masterson, a character famously portrayed by Marlon Brando in the 1955 film adaptation. Expressing his excitement, Simpson shared that the role has been a dream of his since his teenage years when he first fell in love with the musical's story and soundtrack. The production will feature other popular Australian actors, including Bobby Fox and Jason Arrow, and will be directed by Shaun Rennie. Simpson’s return to the entertainment industry follows his retirement from competitive swimming after failing to qualify for the Australian Olympic team this year. He previously made his Broadway debut in 2018, playing Dmitry in 'Anastasia'.
