Amazon Cancels Citadel Spinoffs, Refocuses on Main Series

Amazon Prime Video has canceled the international Citadel spinoffs, Citadel: Honey Bunny (India) and Citadel: Diana (Italy), after just one season each due to lack of global breakout success. Storylines and characters from both will be merged into the main Citadel series, which stars Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden. The second season of Citadel is set to premiere globally in the second quarter of 2026 and promises deeper character arcs and new cast members. These cancellations come amid a wider content reshuffle at Amazon MGM Studios following the departure of former head Jennifer Salke. Plans for further spinoffs, such as Citadel: Mexico, are currently on hold. Amazon aims to revitalize the Citadel franchise through the upcoming season despite mixed critical reception for the spinoffs.
