With the winter season typically seeing an increase in car thefts, experts recommend vigilance, especially for popular models like the Ford Fiesta, Volkswagen Golf, and BMW 3 Series. Additional security measures include locking vehicles, removing valuables, and utilizing steering locks or gear clamps. Recent incidents have also been reported in Swindon and Coventry, prompting police appeals for information and reminding the public to secure their vehicles.
