Kristen Stewart made her feature directorial debut with The Chronology of Water, an adaptation of Lidia Yuknavitch’s autobiographical memoir, which explores trauma, female rage, queer identity, and artistic rebellion. The film stars Imogen Poots as Yuknavitch, portraying her journey from an abusive upbringing and lost swimming scholarship to finding freedom and salvation through literature and self-discovery.
