Seton Hall Tops VCU 69-66 in Overtime

Seton Hall secured a thrilling 69-66 overtime victory against VCU in the opening round of the Charleston Classic, marking their first significant win of the season. Chaunce Jenkins was pivotal for the Pirates, scoring all 22 of his points in the second half and overtime, including a crucial basket with 2:21 remaining. VCU, led by Max Shulga with 20 points, fought hard and managed to force overtime with a last-second layup. The game featured 14 lead changes and highlighted Seton Hall's strong rebounding performance, dominating 44-30. Both teams struggled offensively, but Seton Hall's defense held firm against VCU’s highly-rated scoring capabilities. The Pirates will advance to face either Nevada or Vanderbilt in the semifinals, while VCU will play Elizabeth City State next.
