Toto Wolff Criticizes Christian Horner Amid FIA Inquiry

Toto Wolff has criticized Red Bull's Christian Horner for his reluctance to support the Wolff family during an FIA investigation into allegations of conflict of interest involving Susie Wolff, Toto's wife. The investigation was sparked by claims that Susie, managing director of the all-female F1 Academy, had leaked confidential information to her husband. Wolff expressed disappointment that Horner initially refused to sign a joint statement supporting them, stating, "I can take lots of shit... but if your wife is being dragged into a conflict, that’s where the fun stops." Following pressure from other team principals, including Ferrari's Fred Vasseur, Horner eventually signed the statement, but not without attempting to alter its wording to distance himself from the situation. Wolff concluded that the way Horner handled the situation showcased a lack of respect for Susie and her contributions to motorsport, asserting, "I don’t think you can rely on what he says."
