Inglewood Man Fatally Shot Intervening in Catalytic Converter Theft

Inglewood police are searching for two suspects involved in the fatal shooting of Juan 'Johnny' Sanchez, a husband and father who was shot while interrupting a catalytic converter theft early Tuesday morning. The incident occurred around 3:22 a.m. on North Chester Avenue, where Sanchez was shot in the chest and later succumbed to his injuries. Relatives described him as a devoted family man who recently became a grandfather. Surveillance footage captured the suspects fleeing in a gold 2002 to 2006 Toyota Camry with tinted windows and a non-functioning front fog light.
