Real Salt Lake acquires USMNT veteran DeAndre Yedlin from FC Cincinnati

Real Salt Lake (RSL) has acquired veteran U.S. Men’s National Team right back DeAndre Yedlin from FC Cincinnati in exchange for $304,700 in 2025 General Allocation Money. Yedlin, 32, brings extensive experience from his time in MLS with Seattle, Inter Miami, Cincinnati, and abroad with Premier League clubs Tottenham Hotspur, Sunderland, and Newcastle United, as well as Turkey's Galatasaray. He has been a three-time MLS All-Star and captained Inter Miami to the 2023 Leagues Cup title before joining Cincinnati, where he was a consistent starter. RSL views Yedlin as a key long-term solution at right back, a position that has been unstable since 2022, and he is expected to sign a new long-term deal with the club. Yedlin expressed enthusiasm about joining RSL, citing the club's strong culture and competitive environment. He is set to immediately join training and could debut in RSL's upcoming match against Minnesota United.
