Kentucky Derby Festival Unveils 2025 Royal Court

The Kentucky Derby Festival has announced its 2025 Royal Court, consisting of five women who will serve as ambassadors for the festival. The court includes Lilly Deljoo, a second-year medical student at the University of Louisville, and Madeline Duff, a senior at the University of Kentucky studying neuroscience. Each member receives a $2,000 scholarship, funded by The Fillies, Inc. and the Kentucky Derby Festival Foundation. This year’s selection process involved nearly 100 applicants, with the final court chosen from 32 finalists. The announcement took place at Mall Saint Matthews, marking the beginning of the Derby season festivities. One of the princesses will be crowned Derby Festival Queen at the Fillies Derby Ball in April.
