Las Vegas Man Charged in Four Murders

Michael Coleman, 40, originally arrested in 2023 for the murder of Kidada Stewart, has now been charged with three additional murders dating back to 2021, according to Las Vegas Metro Police. Lt. Jason Johansson revealed that Coleman was allegedly working with Carl Chester, who engaged in fraudulent Paycheck Protection Program schemes and hired Coleman to eliminate individuals who did not pay their cut. The newly linked victims include Benjamin McCarty and Marcus Larry, both murdered in 2021, and William Hill in 2022. Chester was killed in March by relatives of one of Coleman's victims, raising questions about the violent underpinnings of their criminal enterprise. Coleman has been held without bail and is facing multiple charges, including first-degree murder and conspiracy. Police emphasized their commitment to solving homicides, reflecting on their high solve rate compared to other jurisdictions.
