Jefferson City, St. Joseph, Washington County Honor Staff, Educators of the Year

The Jefferson City School District has recognized Kati Spencer and Darryl Goudeau as the inaugural recipients of the Eisinger Staff Member of the Year award for their exceptional contributions outside the classroom. Kati Spencer, a secretary at West Elementary, has been instrumental in coordinating events for the parent-teacher organization, while Darryl Goudeau, a food service employee at Capital City High School, is praised for his positive influence on students and staff alike. In addition, the Colorado Department of Education is accepting nominations for the 2026 Teacher of the Year until March 17, celebrating educators who positively impact their communities. Meanwhile, semifinalists for the 2025 Minnesota Teacher of the Year have been narrowed down to 31 candidates, including two local teachers. The St. Joseph School District also announced its Teacher of the Year and Support Staff of the Year, recognizing Mary Sanders and Jennifer Koch for their dedication and service. Lastly, Charles Bell was named the 2025 Educational Support Personnel of the Year in Washington County, highlighting the vital role of support staff in schools.
