Arajet Launches Nonstop Flights Between Punta Cana, Orlando Sanford in 2025

Arajet, the Dominican Republic’s low-fare national airline, is launching nonstop flights between Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) and Punta Cana International Airport starting October 26, 2025. The new route will operate three times weekly on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, with fares starting at $138 one-way and promotional discounts available. This service marks Arajet’s sixth U.S. destination and second in Florida, enhancing international travel options for Central Florida residents, including a significant Dominican community. The airline will use Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft for these flights, which support Sanford Airport’s strategy to grow as an alternative to Orlando International Airport. Currently, Allegiant Air is the only other airline operating regularly at Sanford, flying to 57 U.S. cities. The new route is seen as a vital connection for the region, expanding Sanford’s international offerings and boosting travel access.
