The Southeastern Conference (SEC) has announced the return of its women’s volleyball championship after a 20-year hiatus, with the tournament scheduled to take place from November 21-25, 2025, at Enmarket Arena in Savannah, Georgia. This three-year agreement will allow the SEC to host the championship in 2026 and 2027 as well, marking the first time since 2005 that the SEC will have a volleyball tournament, providing critical competitive opportunities for its teams. SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey emphasized the importance of this event in offering a memorable experience for student-athletes and fans alike. Coach Jamie Morrison of Texas A&M expressed optimism about the growth of women's volleyball, highlighting the need for exciting matches. Previously, the SEC held its volleyball championships from 1979 to 2005, with the tournament being hosted on campus and at neutral sites. The tournament aims to showcase elite athleticism and enhance Savannah's status as a premier sports destination.
