Minus The Bear Release 20th Anniversary Deluxe Menos El Oso Reissue

Minus The Bear is celebrating the 20th anniversary of their sophomore album, Menos el Oso, with a deluxe reissue set for release on August 22 through Suicide Squeeze. The remastered edition includes five unreleased demos, such as a demo of the track "Hooray," and a 24-page archival photo journal titled Los Archivos Del Oso, featuring images from the band's personal collection. Members of the band reflected on how the album marked a turning point in their sound by incorporating glitchy guitar samples, hip-hop breakbeats, and electronic elements, and how these songs remain deeply ingrained in their muscle memory. The band, which reunited after a seven-year break, plans to perform Menos el Oso in full during a fall 2025 tour, including multiple sold-out shows and a headline spot at the Best Friends Forever Festival. Various limited-edition vinyl variants of the reissue are available, including autographed and exclusive colored pressings. The reissue and tour commemorate the lasting impact of Menos el Oso as a fan favorite and influential record in the indie rock genre.
