Multi-Agency Drug Operations Target Traffickers

In a major crackdown, law enforcement agencies in New Mexico dismantled a significant drug trafficking network, resulting in the seizure of various illegal substances including over 842 grams of fentanyl and 1,118 grams of methamphetamine, alongside 24 arrests. The operation, dubbed 'Operation Night Owl', uncovered an international drug organization linked to the influx of fentanyl into the U.S. Meanwhile, New Mexico authorities also eradicated 170,000 pounds of illegal cannabis plants from an unauthorized grow operation, marking a significant enforcement action against illegal cannabis activity. In addition, police in North Albury seized marijuana plants valued at $36,000 and arrested a man for cultivation and supply offenses. A separate operation in Llanhilleth led to the arrest of two individuals for producing a controlled drug class B. These operations highlight ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and maintain regulatory compliance across different states.
