Abilene Woman, 26, Dies in Fiery Crash

Madison Eleni Shults, a 26-year-old woman from Abilene, Texas, was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Sunday night along State Highway 36 near milepost 317. The Texas Department of Public Safety reported that Shults was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier when she veered off the roadway, subsequently striking a barbed-wire fence, several trees, and large rocks before her vehicle caught fire. The incident occurred around 9:25 p.m., and although Shults was wearing a seatbelt, the cause of her veering off the road remains unknown. She was pronounced dead at the scene as emergency crews responded to the crash. Investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident.
