Scammers pose as federal agents, convincing victims to convert their savings into gold bars for 'safekeeping' at the U.S. Department of Treasury. Seven victims have been identified, losing a collective $6.3 million, with more victims likely. Five arrests have been made, and the suspects have been linked to organized crime networks in China and India.
