18-Year-Old Passenger Dies in Bradford Crash

Owen Murphy, an 18-year-old passenger on a motorbike, died in hospital after a crash in Bradford on November 6, following a police pursuit that began when the motorbike failed to stop for officers. The collision occurred on October 28 when the bike collided with a red Vauxhall Corsa on Harrogate Road, resulting in serious injuries for both Murphy and the 17-year-old rider. The rider has since been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and released on bail. The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) has initiated an independent investigation into the incident. Tributes to Murphy have poured in from friends and family, who described him as a 'lovely soul' and 'one of a kind'.
