Caminero, Rays Rout Astros, Move Above .500
Junior Caminero drove in a career-high six runs, including a pivotal three-run homer in the seventh inning, as the Tampa Bay Rays defeated the Houston Astros 13-3 and ended Houston’s four-game winning streak. The game was tied at 3 before Yandy Díaz’s RBI single and a fielding error gave the Rays the lead, followed by Caminero’s homer that made it 8-3. Caminero also contributed a two-run double in the eighth inning, finishing a triple short of the cycle. The Rays’ offense was strong, with all nine starters collecting a hit and the team totaling 14 hits, six walks, and five stolen bases. Astros hitters Jose Altuve and Yainer Diaz each homered, but reliever Bryan King allowed five runs in the seventh, breaking the game open. The win lifted Tampa Bay above .500 for the first time since early April.
