Ukraine receives bodies of 757 fallen defenders from Russia

Ukraine successfully repatriated the bodies of 757 fallen defenders, primarily from the Donetsk front, as part of ongoing repatriation efforts. This significant return involved collaboration between various Ukrainian governmental and military agencies, including the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War and the International Committee of the Red Cross. Among the returned bodies, 34 were retrieved from morgues in Russian territory. Investigators are working with forensic experts to identify the deceased promptly. The Coordination Headquarters expressed gratitude to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for their role in transporting and managing the repatriation process. This operation marks one of the largest repatriation efforts since the onset of the conflict.
