Goa police have apprehended seven individuals from various states for managing a fraudulent call center in North Goa, impersonating entities like loan companies and government agencies to deceive US citizens into transferring money. The accused were caught operating from a hotel in Calangute, with seized items like laptops and network equipment to undergo cyber forensic examination. The suspects face charges under relevant legal sections for their unlawful activities. Superintendent Rahul Gupta emphasized the importance of public vigilance and cooperation with authorities to combat such criminal operations.
