Unnati Hooda stuns fourth seed, reaches Hylo semis

At the 2025 Hylo Open in Saarbrücken, Unnati Hooda upset fourth seed Lin Hsiang-Ti 22-20, 21-13 to reach the women's singles semifinals. Hooda is set to face top seed Putri Kusuma Wardani in the semifinals. India's men's singles campaign ended in the quarterfinals as Lakshya Sen, Ayush Shetty and Kiran George all lost. Sen fell to Alex Lanier 21-17, 14-21, 21-15; Shetty was edged by Kalle Koljonen 19-21, 21-12, 20-22; and George lost to Jonatan Christie 21-10, 21-16. Rakshitha Sree Ramraj also exited after a 21-7, 21-19 defeat to Line Christophersen. Hooda's run provided a bright spot for India amid the quarterfinal exits.
