Jane Doe Dismisses Revenge Porn Lawsuit Against Diplo

The anonymous plaintiff, known as Jane Doe, has voluntarily dismissed her lawsuit against music producer Diplo, following a judge's ruling that would have required her to reveal her identity to continue the case. Judge Mónica Ramírez Almadani stated that while the allegations of revenge porn were sensitive, Doe had not demonstrated a sufficient need for anonymity. Doe's attorneys criticized the ruling, arguing it reflects a troubling power imbalance and could cause lasting trauma for survivors. The lawsuit alleged that Diplo shared explicit recordings of their encounters without consent, which she claimed occurred during their relationship from 2016 to 2023. Diplo's legal team has consistently denied the allegations, labeling the lawsuit as an attempt to extort him. The dismissal of the case does not preclude Doe from potentially re-filing in the future.
