Tata Consultancy Services to Open IT Facility in Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh's IT sector is set to receive a major boost as Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) plans to establish a new IT facility in Visakhapatnam, which will employ 10,000 people. This announcement was made by Minister Nara Lokesh following a meeting with TCS Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran in Mumbai on October 8. Lokesh emphasized the state's commitment to creating a favorable investment climate, aiming to position Andhra Pradesh as India's leading state for business. The decision comes shortly after HCL Technologies also announced plans to open a development center in the city, highlighting Visakhapatnam's growing status as an IT hub. Other significant investments in the region from companies like Lulu Group and Brookfield further affirm Andhra Pradesh's attractiveness for corporate setups. This initiative is seen as a pivotal step in enhancing the state's IT infrastructure and economic growth.
