Multiple U.S. Men Plead Guilty or Are Convicted in Child Sexual Abuse Cases
Several men across the U.S. have recently pleaded guilty or been convicted for serious child sexual abuse offenses involving minors. Roy McClellan Jr. of Hampton accepted a plea deal and was sentenced to eight years in prison for uploading child sex abuse materials. Bradley Maxson of Sanford pleaded guilty to multiple felony charges, including aggravated child sexual abuse and distribution of child sexual abuse images, with sentencing scheduled for August. Eduardo Difredo Bonilla-Gomez was convicted in Santa Ana of sexually assaulting a young relative over several years, including charges of sexual intercourse and lewd acts with a child under ten. Gregory Smith, a Palm Coast man, confessed to repeatedly sexually abusing a child over about three years and faces multiple counts of sexual battery and lewd molestation, currently held without bond. Law enforcement agencies emphasized the bravery of victims coming forward and the ongoing efforts to investigate and prosecute these crimes.
