Double Homicide Marks Third Consecutive Murder in Charlotte

On November 2, 2025, Caleb Johnson, 23, and Prince Tribble, 32, were fatally shot in a double homicide on Oakwood Road in north Charlotte, North Carolina. The victims were talking in a front yard when a vehicle sped by and fired shots from an AK-47, killing both immediately. Police confirmed an argument had escalated prior to the shooting, and the suspect vehicle fled the scene and remains unidentified. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is actively investigating the case through its Homicide Unit. This incident marks the third murder in Charlotte within two days, following the killing of Amari Cooper at a Halloween party on November 1. No arrests have been made in connection with the double homicide as of now.
