Hayward Woman Allegedly Fatally Stabs Boyfriend Claiming Self-Defense

In Hayward, a 25-year-old woman fatally stabbed her 30-year-old boyfriend on Saturday morning, claiming she acted in self-defense after he assaulted her. Neighbors reported hearing a loud argument and objects being thrown in their apartment before police arrived around 9 a.m. Officers found the woman in a stairwell, who cooperated and stated she had been physically assaulted by her boyfriend. The man was discovered unresponsive with a stab wounds inside the apartment and was pronounced dead at the scene despite officers' first aid attempts. The woman was taken to a hospital for medical evaluation and was not arrested, with the investigation ongoing.
