British para-archer Jodie Grinham made history as the first pregnant athlete to win a Paralympic medal, securing bronze in the women's individual compound event. Seven months pregnant, Grinham defeated Tokyo gold medallist Phoebe Paterson Pine by a narrow 142-141 scoreline. Despite health challenges and hospital visits, Grinham was determined to compete as long as she and her baby were healthy. She expressed pride in her achievement and hopes to inspire other mothers-to-be. Grinham, who previously won silver in the mixed team event at Rio 2016, now aims for another medal in the mixed team compound quarter-finals with teammate Nathan McQueen.
