Pacers Waive Keisei Tominaga After One Day

Indiana Pacers guard T.J. McConnell had a standout season at age 32, helping the team reach the Eastern Conference Finals and leading to a four-year contract extension worth up to $44.8 million. McConnell's performance included career-high averages of 10.2 points and 5.5 assists per game. In a separate move, the Pacers signed Japan's national team guard Keisei Tominaga to an Exhibit 10 contract, but he was waived a day later. Tominaga, who played a significant role in Japan's recent Olympic team and had a standout college career at Nebraska, is expected to join the Pacers' G League affiliate if he clears waivers.
