The song, written by her late friend and collaborator Randall Clay Snowden, holds significant personal meaning for McBryde, who typically writes most of her material and only occasionally records outside cuts. Produced by John Osborne of Brothers Osborne and featuring McBryde's band Deadhorse, the track captures the energy of her live performances with its swampy uptempo vibe, sawing fiddles, and electric guitar. The song pays tribute to a father figure described as a man of God and rattlesnake preacher from South Alabama, reflecting themes of family legacy and faith. McBryde co-hosted the CMA Fest special on ABC for the second year, where the song had its national TV premiere, and the concert special is also available for streaming on Hulu. This release also honors Randall Clay's legacy, continuing the friendship and creative partnership they shared before his passing in 2018.
