Police Fatally Shoot Suspect in Bullhead City Incident

An armed suspect, Erick Tom Watkins, was fatally shot by Bullhead City Police after a series of thefts and an armed confrontation. The incident began when Watkins allegedly stole a mail truck in Fort Mohave, Arizona, and later a boat, which he used to flee across the Colorado River to Bullhead City. Law enforcement, including Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, pursued Watkins, who was identified through surveillance footage. When officers located him in an apartment complex, Watkins fired a handgun at them, prompting police to return fire, resulting in his death. Watkins had multiple active felony warrants. A second suspect involved in the theft remains at large, and the investigation is ongoing by the Mohave County Sheriff's Office.
