Nintendo's Virtual Game Cards Enhance Game Sharing

Nintendo has announced the introduction of Virtual Game Cards, a new feature for both the Switch and the upcoming Switch 2, launching in late April. This feature allows digital games to be shared similarly to physical game cartridges, enabling users to 'eject' and 'load' digital games onto different consoles with a one-time local wireless setup. Games can be shared between two systems per account or lent to family group members for up to two weeks, but only one game per family member is allowed. An internet connection is required for the initial setup. The new system aims to enhance digital game sharing and ease the transition to the Switch 2, which will support backward compatibility.
